    Czech hops are known worldwide for their characteristic properties. The most famous Czech hop variety is "Žatecký poloraný červeňák". It is distinguished by its excellent quality, smoothness and aroma. The Czech Republic ranks third with its 5 000 hectares of hops (more than 80% of which are used to grow Žatecký červeňák), just behind the USA and Germany.
