Detailed information

Product detailed description

With its basic bitterness profile, it belongs to the medium group of "dual purpose" varieties, extending to the more bitter "bitter" types. However, in terms of aroma, it is a member of the aromatic hop family, known as "flavour hops." The genotype is characterized by a higher myrcene content, which imparts a full and intense pleasant aroma with notes of grapefruit and tropical fruit, as well as a significant amount of farnesene, contributing a typical delicate hop aroma in the beer. Its resin composition provides a distinct yet very pleasant and long-lasting bitterness.

With its composition and content of resins and essential oils, it is excellent for top-fermented beers such as Ale, Pale Ale, English IPA, IPL, and Brut IPA, especially for imparting aroma. It is well-suited for the second half of the boil and works wonderfully in the whirlpool, as well as for all methods of dry hopping, where its fruity notes will dominate. The bitterness is more pronounced but very pleasant, long-lasting, and subtly lingering, enhancing drinkability. This makes it a versatile variety for all stages of hot-side hopping, and it is also ideal for single-hopped beers or as a base hop. From this perspective, it is versatile across many beer styles, from lagers to top-fermented beers.
