Sorachi Ace, developed in Japan in 1984 for Sapporo Breweries, Ltd., is a cross of Brewer’s Gold, Saaz, and Beikei.
It is a favorite variety among craft brewers for its unique aroma of citrus fruits, herbs, and dill.
Recommended usage and hopping:
- second and third hopping, dry hopping
- packaged in vacuum bags
- versatile hop with citrus notes and hints of orange and dill
