Crystal hops were developed in 1983 in the USA. It is a triploid aroma cultivar derived from Hallertau Mittelfrüh, Cascade, Brewer's Gold, and Early Green. It is primarily grown in Oregon and is becoming increasingly popular among craft brewers due to its versatility in various beer styles.
