BEST Melanoidin imparts even more aroma and flavor to the beer than BEST Melanoidin Light due to the higher concentration of Maillard reaction products that form during a more intense malting process. As a result, this malt is an excellent base for especially strong, dry, full-flavored beers with dark red to chestnut color. The fruity aroma is also more pronounced than in BEST Melanoidin Light and contains hints of dried fruit. BEST Melanoidin complies with the German Beer Purity Law "Reinheitsgebot."
