BEST Heidelberg is produced using a special two-row barley variety that tends to produce a lighter color during the malting process. BEST Heidelberg is especially suitable for brewing beers with an extremely pale color. The malt has a slightly lower protein content than typical Pilsen malt of the same harvest year, but with a high extract value and very high enzyme activity. BEST Heidelberg complies with the German Beer Purity Law “Reinheitsgebot.”
