BEST Caramel® Munich I is the lightest of all the BEST Caramel® Munich malts. The darker the color, the more the malt's flavor shifts from sweet and caramel to nutty tones reminiscent of almonds and slightly toasted bread crusts. The BEST Caramel® Munich series malts can be used to produce beers with a beautifully rich, dark color, even if they make up only a small percentage of the grist. Our unique BEST caramelization technique also achieves an exceptionally consistent level of caramelization in the grain, making it easier to process during brewing and creating a delicious flavor in the finished beer.
